CoffeeTale Short Story Therapy January 15 2019

I went from being a hands-off father to being a full-time single father of a 3 year old and a 1 1/2 year-old girl and boy. I had to learn a lot of stuff, from the “trivial” ponytail to some less-obvious skills. At one point I cut off all of my daughter’s hair in the center of her head, an area as big as a man’s fist, because she had a bit of gum in it. I didn’t know. I needed to develop myself in ways that I never knew possible.

At that point the family had just relocated. We lived on a budget because neither of us had jobs lined up at the time. When we split I could not make ends meet. I just waited and waited for the phone to ring. I found myself crying on a daily basis. In front of the kids sometimes, it didn’t matter. I was hurt. Finally, I realized that I needed help. I looked for women to teach me how to respond to my daughter and how to better appreciate my son. I had to adjust myself to being single again (after 10 years with my ex).   I wasn’t the nicest of husbands, but I didn’t believe that I deserved this. What should I do to get my ex-wife to forgive me?
